Messages for Going to Turkey off-season to explore, car rental in Dikili?

We've been going to Turkey almost every year now. The service is solid, prices are reasonable, and the scenery is beautiful. But it's always been strictly beach trips for us. Summer heat makes you want to stay by the water constantly instead of running around on tours. Though there's plenty worth seeing there, lots of historical sites scattered around. My wife and I decided to fly over for a week now while it's not peak beach season, so we can actually drive around and check out the interesting spots we've been skipping. Thinking of starting in Dikili and then heading to other areas from there. Will it be possible to find a car rental in Dikili?

Off-season travel in Turkey is underrated, the crowds thin out and you can actually take your time at sites instead of fighting tour groups. Dikili works as a base since it's near a lot of ancient ruins and coastal areas that aren't overrun. Car rental options might be limited there compared to bigger cities like Izmir or Antalya, so booking ahead makes sense. Roads around that region are decent, just watch for narrow village streets if you're venturing inland.

Smart move going when it's cooler, you'll actually want to walk around historical sites instead of melting on the pavement. Turkey has layers most people miss when they just park themselves by a pool for a week. You can rent a car in Dikili here: https://getrentacar.com/en-US/turkey/dikili . Driving yourself means you stop where you want and spend as long as you feel like at each spot. The flexibility beats following someone else's itinerary and being rushed through places you'd rather explore properly.
