Treyarch is the developer of Black Ops 7 and it has taken your feedback to heart. It announced on October 21 in a Dev Talk video that Dexterity would be made optional in order to access aim down sights for players in motion. Treyarch is still keen to hear what you have to say, so has increased the volume of footstep noises.
Matt Scronce from Treyarch, the design director for the game, says, "The team studied all the options available and ultimately settled on the most fluid and intuitive experience. We've added the ability to aim while diving, sliding and Wall Jumping." Scronce said that the ability to aim down sights while sliding, diving, and Wall Jumping was already standard in Black Ops 6; however, initially, Scronce told GamesRadar+ "we're just being a bit intentional with our combat at a baseline level" in Black Ops 7
"If we want you to be a little bit more aggressive," he replied, "we have some perks for you."
Scronce, Treyarch's developer talk video, explains that Dexterity does not require you to slide. Black Ops 7, then, will let players glide through their maps as if they were Beyblade-style princesses. But it's important to be aware of their clomping.
Scronce reports that Treyarch has "slightly" increased the volume in multiplayer.
"We're pleased with where we're at. We're going to encourage more stealthy gameplay without relying too heavily on the Ninja Perk," he says.
